As Sales Engineer, it is your role to pro-actively support Claymount’s ambitious growth in the US by generating sales within the current account base and by acquiring new customers in the United States. Initially your main focus will be on High Voltage Cable systems and later also on new products such as components. Reporting to the General Manager of Claymount North America.
- You will manage and develop existing accounts to achieve growth with already existing customers.
- You will be prospecting to secure new customers in coordination with our global operating development center
- You will process quotations, sales orders and provide activity reports to line management and headquarters.
- You will build a sustainable network within OEM's with influencers and decision makers.
- You will manage various daily technical customer management tasks including technical assistance and customer support.
- You will work in close collaboration with Development Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, and Quality Management.
You have a BS in Engineering and at least five years experience working as a technical sales engineer, commercial engineer and/or technical product specialist, ideally in the medical and Industrial X-ray industry, working with OEM clients.
- Sales: Your approach to sales management and planning is hands-on and proactive. You have a good feeling for timing and plan ahead instead of responding to incidents. With the ability to organize your own visit schedule, you set goals for your visits and will keep an overview over ongoing projects.
- Energy: You are willing to undertake frequent travel (50%). You are used to and feel at ease working in the field. In the first year, you are expected to start building your network. Ideally, you already have existing contacts within the industry.
- Results: Your approach to work is results oriented. You feel responsible for your activities and actions. With the urge to make a difference, you are driven to contribute to the growth of a successful company.
- Communication: You are a strong communicator. You do what you promise. You are fair, clear and honest. You timely inform internal and external contacts on project status and milestones. You know how to effectively build and present a business case internal and to the client.
- Customer Support: You are a good listener. You are driven to support your customers and solve their issues.
